When I used to think about “health” I really just thought about not being sick. I don’t have a cold, so I must be healthy.
But what is health?
Health is not just the absence of disease. It is not being “FIT” or “SCULPTED” or fitting in to a certain size jeans or having your scale tell you some “perfect” number.
Being a certain look is absolutely not health. When I was at my sickest, I was at my skinniest. My doctor kept urging my to not lose more weight. I was trying so hard to gain weight. Skinny does not mean healthy. Having fabulously sculpted muscles is not health either. This is just what society has led us to think.
Back in the “dark ages” of Europe, being plump was considered beautiful. If you had rolls of fat that was the height of beauty. I have also worked like crazy to lose 40 lbs. I did! ……and……. Then I caught the bird flu and subsequently, pneumonia.
Society is not always correct.
Health is feeling wonderful. Health is having goals and moving toward them.
Health is having the vitality to live well!
Our “health-care” system is not a health care. It doesn’t create health, it is symptom care. It cares for our symptoms. This can be very helpful at times. But it is up to our own person to care for our person.
We totally got this! Besides, who knows us better than ourselves. We don’t have to take a pill or drugs to get better!
We think that we need to be diagnosed before we can start to get better. Absolutely not!
We create vitality by these 6 things:
Eating well – Put only healing foods in
Bad Out – Getting rid of the gunk
Supplements – We need some extra support
Move – Get the blood flowing
Rest – give yourself time each day to recuperate
Enjoy – Find what you love to do and do it!
We really don’t need another “to do” list. Creating a lifestyle of health is the way to create health in every cell in your body. When we are eating health, our body will naturally go to its ideal weight. No stress, no dieting, no cutting calories, just eating health.
What is eating health?
You know what it is. Eat real food. Simple. Cut out the bad, eat good.
Doesn’t that look some weird tropical drink?
Just a side dish to breakfast. Don’t cut those calories, you need energy for all that fantastic vitality!
Eat real food and create some vitality!
You can do it!!!!!
