Motivation

Why eat healthy?

Why exercise?

Don’t do it to loose weight. Don’t do it.to look a very way. That is not true motivation  . It’s not a sustainable reason. It’s all about what others think. We need inward motivation.

I want to be healthy so that I can still be active when I’m older.

I want be healthy so that I can (and currently do) keep up and play with my kids.

I want to be healthy so that I can take care of myself.

I want to be healthy so I can take.care of my kids.

I want to be healthy so that I can Waterski!

What is your real desire to be healthy. What is the point?

When I was at my sickest my motivation was, I want to live.

My motivation now is that I want to be able to have go and do any activity I want.

I want to be able to enjoy and really be great friends with my kids. I want to be a fantastic friend with my husband. These bonds come partly through doing fun things together.

Yesterday I had a super fun day with my husband. I did yoga, I went on a walk, got a massage, played ultimate frisbee on the beach, played water volleyball and THEN I went to the gym and lifted weights. Incredible. I used to only want to sit on the beach.

Which is still alovely activity. But not the only activity.

My muscles will be marvelously sore today! Isn’t it great to be alive?!

I want to be able to move and go and do for the rest of my life. A neighbor of mine, in her eighties, does yoga everyday. I want to be like that still when I’m 80.
Find the joy and you’ll find your motivation!
